Ebrahim Haji Ithna-Asheri Charitable Health Centre in Tanzania marked World Aids Day on 1st December 2007 with a three -day long event with including slide show presentations, public education and HIV testing.
White Orange Youth, an organisation in Moshi, Tanzania celebrated World AIDS Day by organising many events on and around World AIDS Day including showing documentaries, hosting school concerts and fundraisers and marching on World AIDS Day. Some of these events are highlighted below.
In Kampala, Uganda the Single Parents Association of Uganda (SPAU) marked World AIDS Day under the theme, "Taking the Lead by Challenging HIV and AIDS Discrimination."
The National Aids Week in Cameroon was launch by the Ministry of Public Health on the 26th of November to the 1st of December.
In Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia civil society organisations are collaboratively planning events and materials for World AIDS Day.
