WAC and Youth

WAC is committed to strengthening, catalysing and facilitating stronger and more youth connected movement to address universal access targets as well as other key HIV and AIDS related commitments. In collaboration with youth partners, WAC has developed resources to help youth campaigning efforts towards universal access.

Youth Campaigning Consultation

On 30 and 31 January 2008, representatives of a variety of constituencies, including youth, HIV and AIDS, women, labour, parliamentarians and faith, gathered in Amsterdam for a Youth Campaigning Consultation. The consultation was organised by the World AIDS Campaign, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

United Nations High level Meeting on HIV/AIDS 2008 - more than a seat at the table

Young people have an important role to play and significant contributions to make in addressing all aspects of HIV and AIDS. The 2008 United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV and AIDS was one in a series of opportunities for young people to interact with global government and civil society to ensure that the United Nations (UN) member states are held accountable for progress made toward the goal of universal access by 2010.
