G8
This year's G8 is hosted by Japan. The G8 Summit will take place on 7 - 9 July in Hokkaido-Toyako. For updated information and to find out what happened at this years G8 summit please see www.g8aidscampaign.org
Foro Social Mundial
The World Social Forum is a five-day long event, this year held in Nairobi,Kenya. The purpose of the annual meeting is to bring together social movements and global campaigns, networks, activisits and other groups to share information and strategies about important world issues.
Mexico 2008
The 2008 International AIDS Conference was held in Mexico City from the 3rd to the 8th of August. World AIDS Campaign and its partners organised and supported many events that promoted the themes of accountability and leadership. Please check back for updates on the outcomes.
UNGASS
The 2001 Declaration of Commitment signed by the 189 United Nation members present at the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV and AIDS (UNGASS). By committing to the Declaration countries agreed to time-bound commitments and a regular process to review their progress in meeting those commitments.
Global AIDS Week of Action
One week. One voice. For one week in May, just prior to the UNGASS Review Meeting in New York and the G8 Summit in Japan, campaigners will take actions around the world to demand leaders stay committed to the promises they made to stop AIDS.
